David Gelman

Dave is an independent automotive and legal consultant, and is currently collaborating with GWRCCC. He has a long history in the alternative fuel vehicle area, having worked on nearly all the major alternative fuels for governments, national labs, industry, and Clean Cities coalitions. His experience includes technical, policy, legislative, regulatory, and programmatic efforts, as well as extensive experience working with fleets exploring or transitioning to cleaner fuels. A native of the DC area, Dave has worked with GWRCCC over the past several decades, including preparing a Work Group Summary and Regional Strategic Plan for three Mid-Atlantic Clean Cities coalitions to guide alternative fuel deployment, under a contract with GWRCCC. He was involved in the development of three of the largest alternative fuel programs implemented by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) – the Federal Fleet program, the Regulatory Fleets (State and Fuel Provider) Program, and Clean Cities. Dave was honored as a Clean Cities Trusted Advisor and Lifetime Mentor at the Clean Cities 20th anniversary event.
