Highlights Include Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) Electric Transit Bus and Biodiesel Vehicle from DC Water

Washington, DC – The Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition (GWRCCC) proudly hosted a Clean Fuel Vehicle Showcase on April 23rd, celebrating Earth Day and sustainable transportation solutions. The event, held from 4:30 to 6:45 PM on a lot adjacent to the Washington Nationals Park (151 M St SE), brought together industry partners, stakeholders, and the community to explore the latest innovations in clean energy vehicles.

Attendees were able to view and sit in an array of vehicles representing the forefront of eco-friendly transportation technology. Among the highlights were:

  • Battery-electric transit bus from Metro.
  • Biodiesel vehicle from DC Water.
  • 2019 Nexo Fuel Cell Hydrogen vehicle from Palamedes Strategies.
  • 2013 Model S BEV from Drive Electric DC.
  • Genesis GV60 EV from Drive Electric DC.
  • Jeep Rubicon 4Xe plug-in hybrid from Drive Electric DC.
  • Lucid Air Electric sedan from Lucid Motors.
  • Toyota bZ4x from Toyota.

These cutting-edge vehicles not only demonstrate the viability of alternative fuel options but also underscore the region’s commitment to reducing emissions and mitigating environmental impact.

This event was a perfect way to teach Washington Nationals fans about the work that our partners are doing to improve access to clean vehicles,” said Antoine M.
